FENG SHUI
Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway) means 'wind and water'. This is the ancient Chinese art of placement. Feng Shui is a way of analyzing, understanding and re-arranging the environment of your home and office for optimum luck, health and prosperity.
The Chinese and many other Asian cultures use Feng Shui as way of deflecting bad luck and optimizing success and happiness for all family members. The use of interior design (including colors and placement of objects), exterior design (including gardens and exterior decoration) as well as other techniques, such as date of birth, are part of Feng Shui.
REIKI
Reiki is a system of energy healing which has come to the mainland United States from ancient Hindu and Buddhist systems through Japan, then Hawaii. Reiki is handed down from teacher to student. This system of healing uses ancient symbols to focus the mind and energy in order to help the body and mind heal itself. Reiki is taught in small classes so students can receive individualized instruction regarding the appropriate and correct use of hand positions and the correct use of the REIKI symbols as healing tools.
YOGA
Yoga is a thousand year old system of exercise that not only gears the body to physical health and fitness, but also towards spiritual growth and (with luck and dedication) enlightenment. The major component of yoga, making the body more flexible, also helps to quiet the mind and render it more susceptible to divine influence.
TAROT
Tarot Card Reading is a systematic way to develop intuition and tap into the mysteries of the universe the simple use of a set of cards. The origins of the tarot are murky and controversial but no one can deny that Tarot readers can produce remarkable insights and predictions through the use of cards.
HINDU ASTROLOGY
Hindu Astrology (also called Jyotisha or Vedic Astrology) is an ancient system of divination developed in India. It has been handed down from teacher to student in an unbroken chain for millennia.
This ancient system of astrology, said by some to predate Western Astrology by several thousand years, has become increasingly popular in the West since the late 1980's.
Hindu astrology, with its predictive accuracy, rich mythology and measures designed to alleviate major problems in a chart, is an extraordinarily powerful tool for predicting trends in life, encouraging good fortune, and enhancing both worldly and spiritual life.
MEDITATION
Meditation (JNANA) is the royal path to spiritual progress. It is also the king of the metaphysical traditions, the source of all spiritual activity and the source of all divine inspiration. We teach a variety of meditation techniques, working from the perspective that not one size fits all. The use of the individual's preferred meditation practice will lead to increased personal happiness, increased physical, mental and emotional health, and help the individual deal with problem areas constructively and creatively as they arise.

Carole (C. J.) Gomes, the owner and founder of CRYSTAL EXPECTATIONS, has studied crystals with Katrina Raphael, and has been a herbologist for her entire life.
She has also been involved in a variety of different spiritual traditions from Wicca to Native American Traditions to Hinduism.
She has studied Feng Shui for the past ten years with a variety of Feng Shui masters, including Master Lin Yun and Master Sang from California. Master Sang's techniques come from a long line of Feng Shui practitioners and, since he will not sell or make his knowledge available through regular commercial outlets, his techniques are only available to his students.
C. J. is also a Reiki Master, is a duly initiated Shaivite Hindu, and is certified in Magnified Healing, Rebirthing, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming among other disciplines.
C. J. opened Crystal Expectations in the late 1980s as the first (and still largest) center for the sharing of spiritual information and techniques in the Southeastern Massachusetts area.
The store now enjoys a formidable reputation as being one of the most respected (and long-lived) metaphysical stores and centers in all of New England and has been host to a wide variety of spiritual traditions and practitioners throughout its history.
Gary Gomes, the co-owner of CRYSTAL EXPECTATIONS, was among the first wave of Westerners to take up Hindu astrology and is a founding member and Board member of the American College of Vedic Astrology located in Sedona, Arizona.
He has also lectured on Hindu Astrology throughout the continental United States, in Hawaii and in England.
He has also written extensively on this system of astrology, and has been published in the United States, England, France, South Africa, Australia, and India. His honors include being recognized and certified by the Bharata Vidya Bhavan, an Indian institution devoted to traditional Hindu knowledge, as an expert in Hindu Astrology.
Gary holds degrees in Sociology and Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts. He is an ordained Swami of the Temple of Kriya Yoga and is a duly initiated practicing Hindu of the Shaivite tradition.
He has studied Hindu Astrology with several prominent Indian and American astrologers, is certified to instruct Jyotish (Hindu Astrology) by the American Council of Vedic Astrology, has organized an Institute for instruction in Jyotish in the New England area, and has done charts for thousands of individuals from different parts of the United States and the world.
He is also an Assistant Professor of Jyotisha (Hindu Astrology) at the Hindu University of America and is a Reiki Master.
